National Harbor is one of the DC area’s best destination to experience cherry blossoms with its 200 Okame cherry trees and waterfront trail. Every spring the Harbor comes alive with the cherry trees are in bloom. Grab a camera and make sure your phone is charged because we are going to show you how to capture the destination in bloom!
1. National Harbor Pink Out!
The lights shine bright, but you shine brighter. National Harbor Pink Out is the best backdrop for your nighttime shots during Cherry Blossom season. Take a walk on the Harbor trail towards the Woodrow Wilson bridge to capture a shot like this! When you are done head to Fleet Street to capture the light show. You came for the cherry blossoms, but while you’re here grab a drink or a bite to eat and scope out the other Instagrammable spots National Harbor has to offer.
2. Art in Bloom
Beginning March 20th, start your hunt for 25 giant blossom sculptures created by local and national artists displayed throughout the D.C. area. National Harbor is excited to be the home for one of the blooms for this National Cherry Blossom Festival experience. Share your journey with @nationalharbor and @CherryBlossFest and tag #nationalharbor and #ArtInBloom!
