Thanksgiving truly kicks off the Holiday Season, and National Harbor does it with more cheer than Buddy the Elf featuring a 60ft Christmas tree with snow, a light show, fireworks, holiday movies, Gaylord’s ICE and MORE.

For the people that like to keep their sanity and still gather together for the holiday National Harbor has multiple restaurants serving traditional and nontraditional Thanksgiving meals! Plus, the Capital Wheel will be open Thanksgiving Day!

Skip the stress of cooking. For Thanksgiving, Sauciety at the Westin is offering a noon day dinner, complete with all the traditional offerings and more.

Stay the night and power up with breakfast before heading to National Harbor’s Tanger Outlets for Black Friday deals. Sauciety, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, and also offers a Brunch Menu on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm.

SUCCOTASH is serving up a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites from their James Beard Award winner, Chef Edward Lee.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

It doesn’t get any more traditional Thanksgiving than that.

SUCCOTASH is serving their Thanksgiving meal all day. It is $55 per adult and $27.50 for children 12 and under.

BOND 45 is known for having an elegant three course dinner pre fix for Thanksgiving that always sells out. Appetizers

Need to bring a dish to your gathering? Bring something new that will be the talk of the evening with Maryland’s favorite cooking staples: Old Bay Seasoning and Crab.

Pepper Palace Sweet Onion Crab Dip

Ingredients:

1 Jar of Pepper Palace Sweet Onion Relish

1 8oz block of cream cheese

Old Bay Seasoning

As much cooked crab as you can afford!

 

Directions:

Allow cream cheese to soften to room temperature

Mix Pepper Palace Sweet Onion Relish with crab

Fold in cream cheese

Old Bay Seasoning to taste

Serve Cold

Let’s be honest, dessert is always the star of the show and no matter how, “full” you claim to be you are always going to have something sweet at the end of the meal.

Savannah’s Candy Kitchen is the original place to purchase fresh, made in house, daily pecan pralines.

 

 

If you are going for a more traditional approach with pie, Savannah’s has a traditional Southern Pecan Pie. Get ready to turn up your taste buds because this Pecan Pie starts with a homemade flaky buttery piecrust filled with a combination of fresh Georgia Pecan halves, eggs and pure cane syrup and baked to perfection. Serve it warm or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to complement this Southern desert.

If you want to be more traditional and show up with something Apple or Pumpkin.  Bellagio Patisserie at MGM National Harbor has pre-order pies that can be picked up ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday through Nov 21. Options: Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Cheesecake.
