During Covid-19 crisis, A Touch of Fancy is offering free local delivery and shipping.
A simple girl from the Midwest who enjoys a touch of fancy, Bonnie Cruea has been creating spaces and reimagining everyday items since she was a child. With a firm belief that everyone deserves to have a home that wraps its arms around them when they come home from the crazy world and be a reflection of who the people are, she created her business to be accessible to all people, even those with a tight budget.
The store has an ever-changing collection of hand-curated items and always a vast selection of seasonal home decor. The decorative accents are hand-selected by Bonnie based on what strikes her fancy. The furniture is almost all hand-painted by her, and the handmade items are created from visions she or her friends have when looking at ordinary items. Everything is then combined and displayed together in a collection of vignettes to give the customer inspiration for using them in their own homes.
Bonnie worked as a paralegal for fifteen years, and when her dad died, she decided she couldn’t do it another day. She has spent the last few years selling in antique malls, monthly markets, and eventually going on her own to open a store first on Maryland Avenue in downtown Annapolis and then the Annapolis Mall.
