National Harbor Announces LEGOLAND® New York Experience for
Labor Day Weekend

LEGOLAND® New York will be previewing their newest theme park and resort at National
Harbor, bringing one of America’s most beloved brands to the idyllic waterfront destination for
the holiday weekend

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Aug. 16, 2019 – As summer comes to a close, families will want to
capitalize on the extended holiday weekend at National Harbor for a LEGOLAND® New York “On
the Road” experience. Offering a preview of the upcoming theme park and resort, this Labor
Day Weekend activity will take place at the Pier Tent from Friday to Monday from 10 a.m. to 7

A short drive from all three D.C. airports as well as via AMTRAK, this interactive event will allow
families to learn from Master LEGO® Builders and see a preview of the LEGOLAND® Driving
School cars. Looking for a perfect family photo-op? A large-scale LEGO® panda and zebra, as
well as costumed characters, will provide the perfect backdrop for snapshots. Or, take a photo
in a Dragon Coaster ride vehicle. In addition to all of this, National Harbor is showing The
LEGO® Movie 2 during Family Movie Night on the Potomac at 6 p.m. on Sept. 1.
LEGOLAND® Kid Reporters will be reporting live from the event, allowing kids to inform kids
about the opening of the ultimate LEGO® theme park and hotel destination! The new theme
park will contain more than 50 interactive rides, shows and attractions that let kids and adults
play, ride, climb, build and learn together.

LEGOLAND® New York Resort is scheduled to open in 2020 in the beautiful Hudson Valley town
of Goshen, Orange County, New York, just 60 miles northwest of New York City. At 150 acres, it
will be the largest LEGOLAND® theme park ever built by Merlin Entertainments.
Set along the banks of the stunning Potomac River, this LEGOLAND® New York experience isn’t
the only highlight to visit at National Harbor this Labor Day Weekend. The destination includes
dozens of shopping and dining hotspots, hotels and some of the best sunset views in the region.
Families can stop by Tanger Outlets for last minute school shopping, ride to the top of The
Capital Wheel, or catch an outdoor snack. Visitors to National Harbor will discover a host of
activities suitable for everyone in the family. Also, Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center
has special SummerFest activities for overnight guests through Sept. 2.
