MGM National Harbor Celebrates Hispanic Culture and Heritage
New Casino Resort Signs on as Sponsor of 35th Annual Hispanic Festival Sept. 18
NATIONAL HARBOR, MD – SEPTEMBER 15, 2016 – MGM National Harbor, the world-class casino resort opening later this year in Prince George’s County, MD, has signed on to sponsor the 35th annual Hispanic Festival held at Lane Manor Park in Adelphi, Maryland. The celebration, hosted by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation, attracts more than 15,000 residents and visitors each year. The Hispanic Festival will be held Sunday, September 18 from noon until 6 p.m.

The Hispanic Festival has been held every year in Prince George’s County since 1980. The festival celebrates Hispanic culture and heritage in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Thousands of Hispanic families gather to enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment, dancing, pony rides, arts and crafts, carnival rides and Hispanic cuisine.
Hispanic festival Event Co-Coordinator and Community Relations/Outreach Specialist of M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation said, “this year, as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Hispanic Festival, we are thankful to MGM National Harbor for its continued support of the event and the Latino community in Prince George’s County.”
As a Bronze Sponsor, MGM National Harbor will have a dedicated booth at the festival staffed by team members available to discuss career opportunities, as well as share details about the casino resort and the exciting amenities it will introduce to the region. MGM National Harbor is hiring more than 3,600 permanent positions in more than 100 job categories, between now and the resort’s opening later this year.
