CODE OF CONDUCT FOR NATIONAL HARBOR
The following Code of Conduct has been developed to enhance the shopping, dining, family entertainment and work experience in general at National Harbor. These rules are designed to help maintain an orderly and friendly atmosphere within National Harbor while contributing to: economic activity, civic pride, and family enjoyment of National Harbor and Prince George's County.
National Harbor employs Courtesy Officers to provide customer assistance. Your cooperation in following these simple rules will assist us in maintaining a pleasant and welcoming environment.
Alcohol Beverage Control mandates that all open alcoholic beverage containers remain in designated areas at designated times.
Appropriate Dress requires that shirt and shoes are to be worn at all times. Known gang attire is prohibited.
Child Safety requires that children under 16 be accompanied by a parent or guardian (over 21) during school hours and days.
Environmental Considerations necessitate that all litter is deposited in designated receptacles and all sound generating devices are kept at a personal enjoyment level that does not disturb other visitors.
Protection of Commercial Activity and Customer Safety requires that management control the advertising, promotion, and sale of any items at National Harbor by non-National-Harbor vendors and tenants.
Parking Regulations on National Harbor roads are to comply with all emergency services requirements. All parking restrictions will be strictly enforced and vehicles which are in violation of such regulations are subject to ticketing and/or towing.
Patron and Visitor Courtesy dictates that visitors must not interfere with the flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic and should avoid obstructing patrons' views of tenant displays and storefronts.
Pedestrian Safety mandates that biking, boarding, roller and/or in-line skating on sidewalks and plazas is strictly prohibited.
Photography is encouraged at National Harbor, provided the rights of individuals relating to safety, security, and privacy are respected.
Behavior conducive to a family-friendly environment prohibits the use of profanity, either spoken or displayed.
Safe Conduct requires the prohibition of any activity or behavior that endangers the life and safety of visitors to National Harbor.
Smoking within 20 feet of any outdoor dining area and/or business entrance is prohibited in order to promote a healthy environment for the patrons of National Harbor. Smoking of Marijuana in public is prohibited by law. Violators will be fined to the maximum penalty.
Wading, Swimming, Diving, and Fishing from any beaches, piers, revetments and/or water craft located within National Harbor is strictly prohibited.
Climbing or Walking on revetments is strictly prohibited.
Solicitation by persons or groups other than those who are tenants of National Harbor is limited to the Forum portion of National Harbor and the rules and regulations governing the Forum.
Speaking, Assembly and Distribution of written materials is permitted in the Forum portion of National Harbor upon the issuance of a permit by the Management of National Harbor. For a permit application, visit the management office Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM or call 301-203-4170.
In order to protect the individual rights of members of the community and visitors to National Harbor, any act in violation of Federal, State, or County law at National Harbor is prohibited. Any activity which would interfere with the pedestrian or vehicular movement of visitors to National Harbor or other members of the community must be approved by management. Visitors are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to police and/or Courtesy Officers immediately.
